Ruth Virginia (Springer) Gebhard

Ruth Virginia (Springer) (Walker) Gebhard, Gothenburg, NE, formerly of Beatrice, NE, died on Friday, January 4, 2019 in Gothenburg.  She was born on January 8, 1924 rural Beatrice, Nebraska.  She graduated from Beatrice High School in 1942. Ruth married Harold G. Walker on July 8, 1946 in Belleville, KS, he died Nov. 20, 1981. On June 30, 1987 she married Frank Gebhard.

Survivors including her son, Steven H. Walker and wife Pam of Gothenburg, NE; daughter, Janise Snyder and husband Dave of McGregor, TX; grandchildren, Scott Snyder and wife Jennifer of Sugar Land, TX, Gregory Snyder and wife Stephanie of McGregor, TX, Daniel Walker and wife Myra of Lincoln, NE, Mark Walker and wife Tabbi of Ocean Springs, MS, Anna Marie Walker and fiancé’ Brandon Lief of Gering, NE; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Springer of Diller, NE.

Preceded in death by her father, Bert Sr. and Ethel (Rhodes) Springer; 1st husband, Harold G. Walker in 1981; 2nd husband Frank Gebhard in 2011; sister, Ethlyn Souder and brothers, Bert Springer, Jr. and Elroy Springer.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday January 11, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Scott Snyder officiating.
