Roy Raymond Workman

Roy Raymond Workman, 89, Superior, NE, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior, NE.  He was born June 8, 1929 at Daykin, NE. Roy married Bonnie Jean Soule on March 22, 1967, in Hebron, NE.  They lived in Fairbury, Western and moved to Beatrice in the early 1970’s. He graduated from Daykin High School in 1950 then worked setting up machinery for Ralph Smith International Dealership. Roy served in the Army during the Korean War from September 24, 1952 to July 15, 1954. He worked for StoreKraft MFG then Peterson MFG retiring in 1994 after 27 years. Roy liked Nebraska Football, and was a past member of the Daykin Legion Club.

Survivors include his brother, Lawrence Workman and wife Bonnie Lou of Beatrice; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Merilla (Meyer) Workman; wife, Bonnie Jean (Soule) Workman; brother, Charles Martin Workman; and sister, Gladys Pearl Stainbrook.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NE with Kim Dunker officiating.  A memorial is suggested to the Belvidere Cemetery with the mortuary in charge.  A guestbook is available online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
