Ronald Gene Bissegger

Ronald G. Bissegger, 83 years of age, from Beatrice, Ne passed away Tuesday, Dec 17, 2019 at Bryan East in Lincoln.  He was born on September 26, 1936 in Falls City, NE to Herman and Elsie Bissegger.  Ron graduated from Falls City High School in 1955.  He married Sharon Cowperthwait March 16, 1958.  He served in the Nebraska Army National Guard for 37 years.  He was an active member of the American Legion Post 27.  Ron enjoyed watching Nebraska Football, camping, and spending time with his family.  Especially doing activities with his grandchildren and taking them to World's of Fun. 

Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years, two sons, Lyle (Kris) of Colorado Springs, CO;, Toby (Tammie Janzen) of Beatrice;  three daughters, Nancy (Larry Rezny) of Beatrice; Jayne (Jim) Hughes of Lincoln; Jody (Mark Johnson) of Beatrice; 11 Grandchildren, Ryan Bissegger, Emily Kindley, Jenny Hanshaw, Chad Bissegger, Jarod Pieper, Janelle Maybee, Tyler Pieper, Nicole Arena, Dillon Pitts, Michala Janzen, Cassie Janzen; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; one brother-in-law, Gary (Iva) Cowperthwait of Ontario Or; one sister-in-law, Marcia (Larry) Rue of Wilber, Ne; and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Natalie Cowperthwait.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel in Beatrice with Cale Lang officiating.  Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary with the family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening. Military Rites will be provided by the Bitting-Norman American Legion Post 27 and the Nebraska National Guard Funeral Honor Guard.
