Ray Stedman Cary

Ray S. Cary, 72, Blue Springs, NE, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his home. He was born December 3, 1945 in Modesto, CA to William and Earlene (Martin) Cary.  Ray married Josephine Watts on July 22, 1967 in Wymore, NE. He worked at Beatrice Iron and Metal in Beatrice, NE for 48 years.  He enjoyed fishing, working on lawnmower tractors, making welding art, gardening, especially tomatoes and spending time with grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine of Blue Springs; daughters, Evelyn Barton (Rocky) of Alton, MO, Beverly Atwater (Greg) of Blue Springs, Tammy Miller (Todd) of Barneston, NE, Kathryn Morgan (Trinity) of Blue Springs; sons, James Cary (Angela) of Blue Springs, Jordie Cary (Hiliary) of Wymore, NE; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 5 sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ray Jr.; 3 granddaughters, Megan Atwater, Lyllian Cary, and Alinda Morgan; 1 grandson, Justice Morgan; son-in-law, Woody Barton;  and infant brother.

A Celebration of Life will be held 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Blue Springs Fire Hall.  No visitation but a guestbook is available online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com  Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in charge of arrangements.
