Pearl Jean (Hermle) Kelley, 88 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born on July 23, 1931 in Beatrice to Elmer and Nellie (Kidney) Hermle. Pearl attended school in Beatrice and was a lifelong resident of Beatrice. She married Harold “Bud” Kelley on November 18, 1950. Pearl was a member of the Homestead Gem and Mineral Club and enjoyed crocheting, flowers, gardening where she was known as the “Tomato Lady”, fishing, rock collecting, husker football and especially her family.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Pam Keller and husband Don of Beatrice; grandchildren, Nate Keller and wife Kim, Amber Martin and husband Eric; great grandchildren, Avery & Shea Martin, Nolan Keller; sister-in-law, Leora Kelley of Lincoln; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold “Bud” Kelley; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and a twin sister.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Pastor Doyle Karst officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 PM Friday, October 11, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
