Patricia Lou (Settell) Workman

Patricia L. Workman gained her wings on December 9, 2019. She was born February 11, 1933 in Humboldt, Nebraska. She married Clayton Workman on June 24, 1960. To this union were born three children: Stephanie, Jeffrey, and Kathleen. In 1958, she traveled to Germany to begin her teaching career and continued this path until retiring from Beatrice Public Schools in 1993.

She was Grandma Pat to many people. She was the grandma everyone wanted to have. She was the most sincere, patient, kind-hearted, and selfless person. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Stephanie Ales and husband, Randy of Hermosa, SD; son, Jeffrey Workman and his wife, Joan (Doyle) of Beatrice, NE; daughter, Kathleen Colivas and husband, Glenn of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Tara, Sydney, Jessup, Justin and Amanda; and six great-grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; her parents Philip and Thelma Settell; her brother, Owen Settell; and life-long friend, Vonnie Higgins.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice with Pastor Mark Schutt officiating.  The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice.
