Norma Jean (Chipman) Gray

Norma Jean (Chipman) Gray, 93 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Utica Community Care Center in Utica. She was born on July 6, 1924 in Beatrice to Robert and Helen (Langley) Chipman. Norma Jean worked in Occupational Therapy for over 20 years at the Compton Foundation Hospital in Compton, California. She enjoyed getting together once a week with her quilting group.

Norma Jean is survived by 2 sons, Danny K. Pethoud, Robert “Skip” Gray, both of Beatrice; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul Gray; and son, Lanny Pethoud.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 13, 2018 at Pleasantview Cemetery near Pickrell with Rev. David Bigley officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 8 PM Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
