Marva Colson Obituary

Marva Mae Colson, 78 years of age, of Dubois, NE formerly of Beatrice passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Bryan Medical Center-West in Lincoln. She was born on October 2, 1939 in Newton, KS to Lawrence and Orpha (Snyder) Beagley. Marva worked at Campbell’s Soup in Tecumseh, NE and was a state certified babysitter for many years. She married Dale Colson on August 7, 1992. Marva enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, crocheting, word search, Friday night races and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marva is survived by her children, Chuck McClintock of Humboldt, Karen Workman and Carrie Colson of Dubois, Deb Myers, Dale Colson and wife Kim, all of Beatrice; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lori May of Beatrice; son-in-law, Don Myers of Beatrice; brother, Gail Beagley and wife Sherry of Wichita, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her parents; granddaughter, Destany; brothers, Marvin and Forrest Beagley.

Services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Condolences may be left online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
