Lisa Kay (Taggart) Lohmeyer

Lisa Kay Lohmeyer, 53 years of age, of Seguin, Texas passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018. She was born on March 15, 1964 in Audubon, Iowa to Stephen and Karen Taggart. Lisa always had a passion for doing hair. After graduating from cosmetology school in Omaha, Lisa moved to Beatrice to manage a beauty salon. It was here that she met Randy Lohmeyer. They married and had two children, Travis and Catie. In 1995 Randy accepted a position with Woods Equipment and the family moved to Seguin, Texas. Lisa continued to do hair in Seguin, Texas and opened Cut Loose, a hair salon where she worked for the next 15 years until she retired from her business in 2017. Lisa enjoyed cooking and spending time with friends and family. She also loved to travel. She was a wonderfully selfless woman who loved her dogs, her many friends whom she was devoted to, and especially her family; she was so proud of becoming a Grammy on November 14, 2017 with the birth of Branson James Moerbe.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Randy Lohmeyer; son, Travis Lohmeyer; daughter, Catie Moerbe and husband B.J.; grandson, Branson James Moerbe; mother, Karen Ann Taggart; sisters, Pam and Andrew Picard; Teresa and Kenny Lilly; mother-in-law, Ida Lohmeyer, as well as numerous brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Stephen Taggart, and father-in-law, DeWane Lohmeyer.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 17, 2019 at Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice with Pastor Leah Lawson officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Humane Society, PO Box 1593, Seguin, TX 78155, Faith Lutheran Church, 1326 E Cedar St., Seguin, TX 78155, or the charity of choice. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of local arrangements.
