Laura Dea (Rollins) Krous

Laura Dea Krous, 86, Beatrice, NE, died Friday, September 22, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March, 27, 1931 in Penokee, KS to William and Zola (Flynn) Rollins. She married Leo Krous May 28, 1949 in Litchfield, NE. Laura was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beatrice. She worked as a mental Health Specialist at Ingleside in Hastings and the Beatrice State Developmental Center where she was very active in the Union. Laura enjoyed crocheting, church, her great big loving family, family gatherings, trips around the United States, and taking pictures.

Survivors include her daughters, Eudora Arrants of Wymore, and Jeannie Putnam of Beatrice; sons, William Krous of Beatrice and Larry Krous and wife Cindy of Lincoln; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond, Lee, Richard and Randy Rollins all of Missouri; sister, Helen Dodson of Giltner, NE; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Kevin (1973) and Gary (1998); brothers, Irvin, Royal, Bill, and Frank Rollins; sisters, Ivy Jarzynka and Marilyn Sapp.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary of Beatrice with Pastor Dean Carlisle officiating.  Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE.  No visitation, condolences may be left online at  www.harmanwrightmortuary.com  Harman-Wright Mortuary and Crematory in charge of arrangements.
