Kathryn S. (Sharpe) Lottman Tucker

Kathryn S. Lottman Tucker, 63 years of age, of Diller, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was born on November 14, 1952 in Fairbury to Harley and Mary Ann (Hudson) Sharpe. On May 29th, 1971, Kathryn not only graduated from Brighton High School in Colorado, but also married Francis Lottman and moved to Diller. Kathryn ran an in-home daycare for many years. While staying at home raising many kids, including her own, she also tested milk samples with the NFO Dairy Lab, helped with cake decorating, catering and running a Food COOP. She was a former owner of the Sunrise Lanes Bowling Alley in Beatrice. Kathryn married John Tucker on October 21, 2002 in Fairbury. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Diller and the Diller Community Club. She enjoyed cooking, reading, volunteering and serving her community and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, John Tucker; 3 sons, Brent Lottman and wife Kari of Peru, Nathan Lottman of Lincoln, Matthew Lottman of Beatrice; 4 step children, Victoria Tucker of Chicago, Illinois, Robert Tucker and wife Christine of Des Plaines, Illinois, Elizabeth M. Tucker of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Marcia A. Tucker of Beatrice; 3 grandchildren, Braelynn and Brecken Lottman, Caleb Cover; 8 step-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Beth Aurella and husband Randy of Big Bear Lake, California, Joyce Reed and husband Don of Hudson, Colorado, Laurie Lee and husband Jerry of Delta, Colorado, Karen Grein and husband Michael of Brighton, Colorado; parents-in-law, John and Elma Tucker of Beatrice; 2 brothers-in-law, Dean Lottman and wife Sharon of Odell, James Tucker and wife Elba of Los Angeles, California; 2 sisters-in-law, Victoria Tucker of Beatrice, Ann Williams of South Dakota; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 1st husband Francis Lottman in 2000.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 29, 2016 at Christ Community Church in Beatrice with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Home Cemetery near Diller. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
