Joanne (Wolfe) Kipf

Joanne (Wolfe) Kipf, 93 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born on September 30, 1925 in Seward to Ray and Ella (Gunlock) Wolfe. For many years, Joanne was a foster grandparent at Paddock Lane Elementary School and an assistant manager at Homestead Village. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Beatrice. Joanne enjoyed being with family, seeing the grandchildren, shopping, Nebraska Football, and most recently K-State Football as her great grandson plays.

Joanne is survived by her children, Lori Downie and husband Jerry of Lakewood, Colorado, William Kipf and wife Sharon, Lorella Matulka and husband Dan, Lynelle Little and husband Jerry, all of Beatrice, Loralee “Cookie” Parde and significant other, Keith Vorderstrasse of Barneston, Lecia Dorn and husband Roger of Blue Springs, Lorraine Hoyle and husband Fred of Beatrice; 16 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; brother, Roger Wolfe and wife Hobbin of Seward; sister-in-law, Mary Wolfe of Atlanta, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; daughter, Linda Kipf; granddaughter, Danielle Dorn; and 5 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Pastor Kathee Forrest officiating. Private interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln. Closed casket visitation will be held from 9 AM to 5 PM Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
