Geraldine (Ratchford) Lindblad

Geraldine (Ratchford) Lindblad, 88 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born on April 24, 1929 in Mobeetie, Texas to Benjamin and Myrtle (Ruff) Ratchford. Geraldine met Clifford Lindblad in California and they were married on March 30, 1948 in Marysville, Kansas. To this union, eight children were born. She worked nights at BSDC, managed Payless Shoe Store for 5 years and ran an in home daycare. Geraldine enjoyed bingo and playing cards with her family.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Cindy (Craig) Lutz of Englewood, Florida, Ronnie (Patti) Lindblad of St. Augustine, Florida, Lonnie (Peggy) Lindblad of Martell, Peggy (Ed Starnes) Stohs of Lincoln, Gayle (Kurt) Dodd of Lincoln, Rickie (Cindy) Lindblad of Beatrice, Carla (Steve) Roelfs of Lincoln, JoAnn (Bob) Slama of Peru; 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Clifton Ratchford of Weatherford, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford on June 9, 2012; and sister, Syble King.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Pastor Greg Gabriel officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
