George C. Lawhorne

George C. Lawhorne, 77, of Beatrice, NE, died on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society, Beatrice, NE. He was born on March 19, 1941 in Waynesboro, VA.  He married Marcia Wilcox on December 13, 1974 in Lincoln.  He worked for BSDC, Grandmas Fruitcake, and most recently he made Pizzas at Godfather’s near Filley before retiring.  He enjoyed family, westerns, country music and Elvis.

Survivors include his daughter, Suzanne Lawhorne of Beatrice; special friend, Vicki Jansen of Beatrice; sons, Brian Lawhorne and girlfriend, Darla Kitchen of CA, Jason Lawhorne of Grand Island, NE, Tony Lawhorne and wife Misti of Lincoln, Randy Lawhorne of Lincoln, Jeff Vrana of Omaha; brothers, Pete and Robert Lawhorne of Stuarts Draft, VA; uncle, Donnie of Virginia;  brother-in-law, Garry Wilcox and wife Marla of Beatrice; sister-in-law, Carole Wilcox of Lincoln, NE; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Violet Lawhorne; wife, Marcia.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a. m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel, Beatrice, NE, with Pastor Howard Jordan officiating.
