Florence M. (Head) Albritton

Florence M. Albritton, 89, of Beatrice, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Bryan Medical Center West, Lincoln, NE.  She was born October 27, 1927 at Sarasota, Florida to Melvin S. and Violet E. (Stokes) Head.  She grew up in Sarasota and graduated from Sarasota High School in 1946. She married James Albritton on August 8, 1947.  She and James lived in many places including, France, Germany, California, and Texas.   They retired in Sarasota until moving to Beatrice in 2003 to be closer to family. She was a member of Christ Community Church, Beatrice.  She enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, meeting new people and telling them about Jesus.

Florence is survived by her husband, James; son, Scott Albritton and wife Charla of Beatrice; grandchildren, Dan Crawford and wife Lori of Beatrice and their children, Ella, Shelton and Boston; Michelle Goeking and husband Ed of Fairbury and their children, Liam and Tatum; Kayla Klar and husband Ben of Kansas City, MO and their son Elliot; Anna Bartels and husband Logan of Lincoln; Kelsey Crawford of Fairbury; sister, Ila Cribb and husband Carl of Alabama; brother-in-law, Donald Albritton and wife Dit of Texas; former son-in-law, Tracy Crawford of Beatrice; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Evie Crawford (2013); 2 brothers, Lloyd and Thomas Head.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Christ Community Church with Pastor Dan Martin, officiating.  Burial will be in the Countryside Cemetery, rural Beatrice. Visitation will be held at Harman-Wright Mortuary Wednesday 9AM- 9PM with the family greeting friends from 5pm-7pm.  A register book is also available online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com for messages of condolence.  A memorial is established to the Countryside Cemetery with the mortuary in charge.  Harman-Wright Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
