Douglas Allen Greenwood

Douglas Allen Greenwood, 73, Beatrice, NE died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. He was born September 18, 1945 in Geneva, NE.  He graduated from Chadron High School in 1963 and served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967 during the Vietnam War.  Doug married Carol Lehman May 14, 1976 at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice.  He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, coffee with Mickey, and loved his dogs. 

Survivors include his wife Carol of Beatrice; son, Darren Greenwood of England; daughter, Dawn Greenwood-Bennington of Norfolk, NE; step-daughter, Angela Lehman of Beatrice; several grandchildren including Kyle Greenwood of Lincoln and Clayton Bennington of Norfolk, NE; brothers, Dallas Parde and wife Ileen of Lincoln, Dwight Parde and wife Pat of Beatrice, and Dwayne Parde and wife Christy of Iowa; sister, Janna Fielder and husband Keith of Beatrice; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Twila (Standard) Parde; infant brother; several aunts and uncles.
