Dale Ivan Kasparek, 77 years of age, of Plymouth passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center in Beatrice. He was born on August 8, 1941 in Beatrice to Lewis and Lillie (Bohlmeyer) Kasparek and was a lifelong resident of Plymouth. Dale graduated from Plymouth High School in 1958. In 1964, Dale joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington where he served as a medical corpsman at the military hospital. He married Violet Mae Yvonne (Blobaum) Johnson on June 30, 1984. In his early years, Dale was a regular at a local church. He operated an auto repair business and was active in his community. Dale was a member of the American Legion Post #243 and served on the village board for many years.
Dale is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Buckmaster of Lincoln, Cheryl Hendricksen of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces, Carol Scheve, Crystal Meyer and husband Ron, Julie Hill and husband Aaron, Connie Kreikemeier and husband Ed, Sarah Rublein and husband John; step-daughter, Kim Headley of Camden, Michigan; and step-grandsons, Brandon Jones, Dustin Jones and wife Staci and Matthew Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet; and brother-in-law, James Buckmaster.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church near Plymouth with Rev. Marilyn Hasemann officiating. Inurnment with military rites will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. A register book will be available to sign from 2 to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 PM Friday, April 12, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Plymouth. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Plymouth in charge of arrangements.
