Dale A. Colson

Dale A. Colson, 73 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln. He was born on November 10, 1944 in Pawnee City to Elmer and Lauretta (Skidmore) Colson. Dale worked in the maintenance department at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. He married Marva Beagley on August 7, 1992. Dale enjoyed fishing, Friday night races and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife, Marva; children, Chuck McClintock of Humboldt, Allen McClintock of Table Rock, Karen Workman of Dubois, Deb Myers, Dale Colson and wife Kim, Carrie Colson, all of Beatrice; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lori May of Beatrice; son-in-law, Don Myers of Beatrice; siblings, Richard Colson of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Betty Colson of Tecumseh, Diane Hall of Pawnee City, Sandra Menninga of Summerfield, Kansas; sisters-in-law, Betty Colson of Lincoln, Mary Colson of Adams; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Destany; siblings, Ray Colson, Iola Colson, Roberta Staley and husband Keith, Bill Colson, Patsy Colson; infant brothers, Roger and Elmer, Jr.; sister-in-law, Roberta Colson; and brothers-in-law, Jim Hall and Elmer Menninga..

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Rev. David Bigley officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
