Cory L. Penn

Cory Penn, age 45 of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Bryan East Hospital, Lincoln,     Nebraska.

Cory never saw or experienced the world like others do, but he was born with incredible resilience,          incredible strength, and with determination and   stubbornness that has carried him beyond the odds to this point.  He was blessed with the sense of humor that was able to make the rest of us smile when we were around him, and helped him to accumulate     numerous friends and added much joy and blessing to his family.

Survivors include his mother Nettie Grant (Penn) Sikyta, and father, Dan Sikyta, of Lincoln and        Beatrice, Nebraska; brother Jeremiah Penn (Jessica) of Columbus; sisters Kristina La Flesche Davis (Blake) of Dothan, Alabama, and Athia Sikyta of  Lincoln; Uncles Kevin B. Grant of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Vernell A. Grant of Las Vegas,         Nevada; Aunt Dorothy Wells (Malcolm) of Walthill; niece Madison, and nephews, Morgan, Sam, Joe,   Wesley, Gabe, and Isaiah all of Columbus; and many other extended family, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be Monday, June 18, 2018, 9:00 am at Indian Center at 1100 Military Rd., Lincoln, Nebraska.  Open visitation will be at the Indian Center from Friday, 4:00 pm, until Monday with family. Memorial donations received will be part of the Cory L.
