Charles K. Ellis

Charles K. Ellis, Lincoln, Nebraska formerly of Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away at age 83 on Wednesday October 31, 2018. Born in Beatrice to Cloyde and Marguarite Ellis on September 26 1935. He grew up in Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1953. He then attended and graduated from the college of engineering at UNL and was a member of the men's gymnastics team and a graduate assistant coach.  He also served four years in the US Marine Reserves. He was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed bird hunting and trap shooting. He worked as a civil engineer building bridges for Beatrice Construction and BRB Contractors. He married Winifred (Fritzie) Bartels in 1962. The family consisted of 2 daughters, Christy and Beth. He is proceeded in death by his father, mother and sister, (Patty).

He is survived by his wife, Fritzie; daughter, Christy and husband Pat; daughter, Beth and husband Todd; granddaughter, Carley and husband Cole and great-grandson, Rhett. Granddaughter, Miranda and fiancée Christ and daughter Piper.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beatrice with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. A private family burial will be held prior to the service at Lincoln Memorial Park.
