Michael Joe Hutchinson

Michael Joe Hutchinson, affectionately known as “Mike” or “Hutch”, 74 years of age, of Filley passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was born in Beatrice on February 26, 1950 to Boyd and Aileen (Snyder) Hutchinson. Mike graduated from Filley High School where he belonged to FFA. He leased his first farm at the age of 15. Mike was a lifelong farmer and mentor to local farmers and friends. He had a sweet tooth for desserts and chocolates and enjoyed his yard, farming, red pick-up trucks, cattle, Husker sports and John Deere.

Mike is survived by his beloved siblings, Sharon Alberts and husband Richard of Filley, Gary Hutchinson and wife Kim of Chandler, Arizona; and nephews, Todd Alberts and wife Terri, Tim Alberts and wife Angie and Doug Alberts and wife Jenifer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. There will be a family prayer service at 9:45 AM on Tuesday at the mortuary. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery north of Blue Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association or Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
