William Joseph Springer

William “Bill” Joseph Springer, 74 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. On April 9, 1940, Bill was born to Bert Lou Jr. and Marjorie Helen (Robison) Springer in Beatrice. Bill graduated from Beatrice High School in 1959. He continued his education by attending one semester at Peru State College and finished at Wayne State College with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in History. Bill married Dianne Forke on August 23, 1974 in Beatrice. They had one son, Michael. Bill enjoyed books, coins, stamps and was an avid genealogist.

Bill is survived by his wife, Dianne; son, Michael of Beatrice; brother-in-law, Donald Forke and wife Deborah of Beatrice; two aunts, Ruth Gebhard of Beatrice, Ardie Robison of Lincoln; uncle, Earl Springer of Diller; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Lou Springer Jr.; mother, Marjorie Helen Springer; younger brother, Robert Springer; father-in-law, Harold Forke; and mother-in-law, Beverly Forke.
