Teautla Gale Zimmerman

Teautla Gale Zimmerman was born on November 14, 1995, at 4:54pm in Beatrice, Nebraska.  Teautla Gale passed away suddenly at his home in Kearney, Nebraska on September 14, 2016.  Teautla Gale graduated from Beatrice High School in May, 2014 and was a Junior at the University of Nebraska-Kearney at the time of his death.  He was working toward his degree in Computer Science.  Teautla Gale was active in 4-H for 11 years where he focused primarily on his Photography projects.  Teautla Gale's photographs were consistently chosen to be entered and displayed at the Nebraska State Fair beginning at the age of nine.  Although Teautla Gale was colorblind, he could look at a scene or an object and know instantly how to photograph it in the most beautiful way.  Teautla Gale was known for his kind heart and his love for technology.  He was the person to make sure his grandparents, parents, brother, and sister had the best working cell phones and computers.  Teautla Gale loved many things in life including camping and vacations with this parents and siblings, "golfing" in the summers with his brother and sister, and especially motorcycle trips with his dad.  Teautla Gale truly loved his dog, Lahay.  He was always teaching Lahay tricks and sharing with others how smart his dog was.  He loved going to movies, eating Taco Bell, and especially eating corn on the cob.  He is, and will always be, greatly missed. 

Teautla Gale was preceded in death by his grandfathers, W. Gale Rumpeltes and Reverend Franklin E. Zimmerman and by his aunt and Godmother, Geri L. Rumpeltes-Bowhay.  He is survived by his parents, Jon and Teri Zimmerman, brother Dawson, sister Gerin, grandmothers Lyn Rumpeltes and Margie Zimmerman, his aunts and uncles Joi (Zimmerman) and Jay Gault, Jay and Mary Zimmerman, Jim and Megan and son Logan Zimmerman, Mary Ann Zimmerman, Dave Bowhay, Gale (Rumpeltes) and Kent Miller, and Ronni (Rumpeltes) Dunn. He is survived by his cousins Brandi Miller, Alex and Rebecca Miller and daughter Evelyn, Will and Christina Miller, Jacoby and Michelle Bowhay and sons Jackson and Jordan, Jace Bowhay, Bruce M.G. Dunn, Stacey (Zimmerman) and Curtis Johnson, Jamie Zimmerman, Kiona (Zimmerman) and Jacob Assink, and many more family members and friends. 

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 19,2016 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Beatrice, NE with Pastor Kathie Forrest, officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Sunday at the Harman-Wright Mortuary Noon- 9PM with the family greeting friends from 6-7 PM.  A register book is also available online at www. harmanwrightmortuary.com Memorials are to the family choice with the mortuary in charge.
