Ronald H. Goodson, 72 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on September 9, 1944 in Fairbury to Howard and Frieda (Milius) Goodson. Ronald graduated from Cuba High School in Cuba, Kansas in 1963. He married Arlean Drewes in Seneca, Kansas. Ronald served his country in the United States Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked for several farm equipment dealerships and also Sack Lumber in Beatrice. Ronald was a member of the American Legion Club in Cuba, Kansas. He enjoyed collection antique tractor toys, antique tractor shows, camping and wintering in Florida.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Arlean; brother, Lowell Goodson and wife Annette of Narka, Kansas; step son, David Wohlgemuth of Milford; step daughter, Diane Nollett of Seward; 2 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ruhnke and husband Ken of Beatrice; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Pastor David Bigley officiating. Interment with military rites by the Nebraska Army National Guard and American Legion Post #27 will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
