Rodney Lynn Layman

Rodney L. Layman, 45, Beatrice, NE died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Beatrice Community Hospital.  He was born October 18, 1972 in Beatrice to Elbert “Turk” and Alice (Ames) Layman. He graduated from Beatrice High School in 1993.  Rodney married Michelle Bartels in Beatrice on September 2, 2005. He worked for Filley Custom Powder Coating, then Husqvarna Lawn Care. He enjoyed fishing, and watching WWE Wrestling.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle of Beatrice; children, Taylor Layman, Zachary Bartels, Chelsea Layman, and Mark Layman all of Beatrice; mother, Alice Layman of Wymore, NE; sisters, Dawn Warnsing and husband Doug of Beatrice and Rebecca Davidson and husband Tom of O’Neill, NE; brother, Merel Layman and wife Christine of, Fountain, CO; cousins; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert “Turk” Layman; grandparents, Melvin “Shorty” and Bernice Ames.
