Phyllis M. (Deines) Vogel

Phyllis M. (Deines) Vogel, 83 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born on August 1, 1932 in Bridgeport to Jake and Marie (Ostwald) Deines. Phyllis married Richard Vogel on April 25, 1949 in Wiaux, Montana. Phyllis, Richard and eventually their children traveled all over the world while Richard was in the United States Air Force. In 1973, the family moved to Beatrice from Hutchinson, Kansas. Phyllis and Richard had a lot of memories from spending so much time with all of their friends at the VFW and American Legion. Phyllis loved bowling, sitting outside watching hummingbirds and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Rick Vogel and wife Theresa; 2 daughters, Penny Vogel, all of Beatrice, Dixie Amatruda of Waterbury, Connecticut; 5 grandchildren, Chris Amatruda and wife Nadine, Ryan Vogel and wife Angie, Brandie Waldron and husband Jake, Shane Diekman, Nathan Diekman and wife Trisha; 8 great grandchildren, Lucy, Liam, Kayleigh, Lucas, Stefanie, Gabriel, Aidan, Gianna; 2 sisters, Burna Hodges and husband Clinton of Sunol, Pat Stunpf and husband Vern of Iliff, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jackie Grebeldinger; and infant brother, Gary Deines.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Pastor Doyle Karst officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 PM Monday, September 21, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. A memorial is suggested to the Veteran’s Club in Beatrice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
