Myron Lee Munn

Myron Lee Munn, 62, Beatrice died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Beatrice Community Hospital.  He was born October 4, 1953 at Grand Island, NE. Myron graduated from Grand Island High School in 1971. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and worked for his parents bar in Polk, NE during college.  He graduated from Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha, then Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Myron started his career as a C.R.N.A. in the York, NE Hospital, then Fairbury, NE, Russell, KS, Columbus, NE,  Marysville, KS,  and Beatrice, NE Hospitals. Myron married Suzanne Bartels January 27, 1990 at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice. He enjoyed hunting, guns, vehicles, husker sports especially football and volleyball. He grew to love cats to the amazement of anyone who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne of Beatrice; daughter, Laura of Beatrice; sons, Nick VanHorne, Chris Munn and Greg Munn all of Longmont, CO; 5 grandchildren of Longmont; brother, Tom Munn and wife Carol of Holdrege, NE; parents-in-law, Marlene and Fred Gakle of Beatrice; brothers-in-law, Don Jon Bartels and wife Vicki of Tobias, NE, Doug Bartels and wife Anita of DeWitt, NE and Dan Bartels of Bennet, NE; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Norma (Bennet) Munn; father-in-law, Donald E. Bartels.
