Michael Wayne Davison

Michael W. Davison, 59, Beatrice, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday November 22, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA. He was born August 29, 1956 in Beatrice to Richard and Aletha Davison. He graduated from Beatrice High School and was a graduate of Southeast Community College with a degree in computer programming. He served his country in the Marine Corps from 1975-1979. He was employed with Great West Casualty Insurance in South Sioux City, Ne at the time of his death. Mike was an avid Husker fan and poker player. He never missed a game, whether on TV or old school by radio. He loved being with his grandkids, Spud and Pinky and loved his grand dogs Sasha and Rocko.

Surviving Mike are his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Casey Broeker of Lincoln, NE; 2 grandchildren Tyson and Madilyn; mother Aletha Davison; sisters, Becky (Rich) Kerr, Ronda (Vic) Bender and Linda (Scott) Bates; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father Richard, a nephew and his grandparents.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at Evergreen Home Cemetery. Husker attire is encouraged for the service. Visitation will be at Harman-Wright Mortuary Wednesday, November 25 from Noon to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Memorials are established to the family’s choice with the mortuary in charge. Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
