Lorna Dee (Kraemer) Minge

Lorna Dee (Kraemer) Minge, 71 years of age, of Plymouth, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. She was born on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 1943 in Marysville, Kansas to Fenton Albert and Enola Mary (Roever) Kraemer. Upon graduating from elementary school, Lorna attended Marysville High School and graduated in 1961. She then attended Crum’s School of Hairdressing in Manhattan, Kansas, receiving her certificate in 1962. She was an active hairdresser most of her adult life. Lorna married Vernon Friedrich Minge on September 9, 1962 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Wilson R. Maurer officiating. Her greatest joy consisted of being a homemaker and mother. This union was blessed with three children. In 1983, Lorna attended Southeast Community College and received her diploma as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked in various facilities in the Beatrice area for a number of years. Lorna also held a diploma in desktop publishing.

Lorna is survived by special friend, David Thomson of Palmyra; 3 children, Todd Minge and wife Linda of Beatrice, Renee Bartlett and husband Robin of DeWitt, Deborah Weichel and husband Justin of Plymouth; 6 grandchildren, Samantha Minge and special friend Jason Siems, Tanner and Christian Benash, Andrew and Ashley Sasse, Lane Weichel; and several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth with Pastor Fred Berger officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 PM Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Plymouth. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice with the church elders in charge. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Plymouth in charge of arrangements.
