Loree Rae (Rix) Rix-Crouse

Loree Rae Rix-Crouse, 60, Beatrice, died January 26, 2017 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, NE.  She was born November 16, 1956 in Millard, NE.  Loree was confirmed in 1971 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Millard and graduated from Millard High School in 1974. She married Billy Joe Crouse Sr. on February 25, 1978. She received her bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences from College of St. Mary in 1996, a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Leadership from Bellevue University in 2009, a master’s degree in Organizational Management with a concentration in Leadership from Capella University in 2011, and was working on her doctorate degree in Business Administration/Organization Leadership & Management.  Loree worked for Blue Valley Community Action in Fairbury from 1998-2000, did training at the Beatrice State Developmental Center from 2012 to present in Beatrice and at the Adjunct Faculty in the Human Services Department at Southeast Community College in Lincoln from 1998 to present and retired in January 2017. Loree was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice. She was a fighter and overcame many obstacles. She loved her family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Loree enjoyed cooking, baking and reading.

Survivors include her children, Tonya Voet and husband Mike of Home, KS, Billy Joe Crouse, Jr. and wife Robin of Beatrice, Willis Crouse and wife Megan of Beatrice, Toree Lang and husband Travis of Beatrice, Randy Crouse of Beatrice and Tammi Fegter of Grand Island, NE; grandchildren, Megan Voet, Talysha Pinnick and husband Levi, Brandon Crouse and fiancé Sami Hawkins, Diamond Crouse, Justin Crouse, Bryleigh Crouse, Corbin Crouse, Jordyn Crouse, Grant Crouse, Trevin Lang, Taelyn Lang, Trendin Lang, Tuff Lang, Vanessa Crouse, Desiree Crouse and fiancé Steven Port and Derek Crouse; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Alayna, Preston, Dahlia, Leah and on the way, Amelia and Harley; sister, Julie Hansuld of Omaha and brother, Larry Rix of Omaha. She was preceded in death by parents Willis and Jodeen (Biel) Rix; husband, Billy Joe Crouse Sr. (2004); grandson Trigg Evan Lang (2014).

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Douglas Irmer officiating. Family prayer service will be held 9:45 a.m. in the church basement. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NE. The body will lie in state Monday January 30, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harman-Wright Mortuary. A memorial is established to the Family’s choice with the mortuary in charge.
