Lawrence L. Riley, 72 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center in Beatrice. He was born on May 21, 1945 in Boone, Iowa to Otto and Gladys (Conrad) Riley. Lawrence’s passion was helping others and always being on the go. He was a maintenance man at Hoover Group for over 30 years. Lawrence owned and operated a small clean up business and loved doing it.

Lawrence is survived by his son, Larry Riley of Beatrice; daughter, Betty Riley of Boone, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Cord Anderson and special friend Josie Goebel, Calleen Anderson and fiancé Adam Armstrong, Michelle Anderson, Cullen Anderson; 4 great grandchildren, Layne Armstrong and one on the way, Jase Anderson, Ryder Hammer, Lillian Hammer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty Jean in 2013; and 4 sisters, Jane Koenig, Mary Anderson, Darlene Sego and Florence Peterson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
