LaDonna Lee (Hurst) Helzer

LaDonna L. Helzer, 62, Blue Springs, died at her home April 4, 2016.  She was born June 29, 1953 at Lincoln, NE to Orville and Dixie (Teeters) Hurst.  She grew up in Lincoln and then traveled for a while. She loved grandchildren, her dog “Hotdog”, her cat “Pippy”, playing pool, taking walks, road tripping and spending time with her family and friends.  

Survivors include her children, LaDonna Johnson and husband Brian of Lincoln, Lucinda Stege of Lincoln, NE, Dennis Stege of Beatrice, NE, Tiasha Stege of Beatrice, NE and Marissa Zeiger and husband Jeff of Lincoln, NE; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; father, Orville Hurst of Garland, NE; brothers, Tom and Dave Hurst of Garland, NE; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Larry Helzer, and ex-husband, Dennis Stege.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel.  No visitation.  A register book is available at the funeral home and online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com  Memorials to the family.  Harman-Wright Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
