Jerry Wayne Larmeu Sr.

Jerry W. Larmeu, Sr. 67 died June 18, 2016 in Lincoln.  He was born July 3, 1948 in Waycross, GA.

Jerry started life in Waycross, GA, when he was 6 the family moved to New Orleans, LA. He attended west Jefferson High School in Harvey Louisiana and joined the U.S. Navy on July 30th, 1965 serving until January 27th, 1969.  He lived and worked in S.E. Nebraska until 1978 working various places including Lincoln Steel, Dempster Industries, Tote Systems and Petersen MFG. Jerry returned to New Orleans and worked as a Merchant Marine and welder for several companies. He returned to the Beatrice area in 1992 and worked as welder at various places until he retired for medical reasons.

Survivors include his son, Jerry, Jr. and fiancée Melissa Johnson of Beatrice; daughter, Jennifer Glover of Denver, CO; twin brother, Jimmy Larmeu of Denham Springs, LA; sister, Janice G. Pieno of Gretna, LA; grandchildren, Jake Larmeu of Beatrice, Macy Mohr of Beatrice, Katie Carel of DeWitt, Keegan, Liam and Camden Glover of Denver; great-granddaughter, Jemma Carel of DeWitt.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Genevieve (Moore) Larmeu; brother, Joey Larmeu; brother-in-law, Charlie Pieno Jr.; sister-in-law, Joyce Larmeu.

Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel in Beatrice with Pastor Lila Bottolfsen officiating.  No visitation but a book is available for signatures from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday,  and online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com. Military service will be conducted by the U.S. Navy and the Bitting-Norman American Legion post 27.  A memorial is established to the Beatrice Vet’s Club with the mortuary in charge.  Harman-Wright Mortuary and Crematory in charge of arrangements.
