Shari and family, we are saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was such a kind and caring man. We so enjoyed getting to know him when we traveled to Tanzania for Southwood. I remember celebrating his birthday in the Serengeti, gathering around him and singing Happy Birthday! What an amazing adventure that was. Now he is on the best adventure anyone could take.....to heaven with Jesus. God bless you as you grieve your loss. Love, Pat, Jill, Allie and Anna

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I was lucky to have Mr. Rector as my math teacher and also a wrestling coach and have always remembered him. I always enjoyed going to his class because he challenged you and made class fun. He was a great person and I know he left a lasting impression on a lot of people.

Shari and family, I am always sad when we lose a member of the BHS graduating class of 1964 but especially when we lose one as distinguished and kind as Jim. I was so glad to see him at our 50th reunion and get a chance to reconnect. I was gone from Beatrice when your family lived there but my dad said Jim was an outstanding Math teacher and community leader. My condolences to you and your family and know that you are in my prayers. Marsha

Shari, our prayers go out to you and the family. Jim was a great educator, colleague, coach and friend in his years here at W-C and beyond. He really loved what he did and he really enjoyed the kids while he was here. We know he would be proud of funds designated for his favorite charity, as he spoke often of the trips and the support he tried to give them. God Bless You
