Eldon "Zeke" DeVern Brott

Eldon D. “Zeke” Brott, Beatrice, NE, died Friday, October 06, 2017 at Beatrice Health and Rehab Center in Beatrice. He was born December 12, 1933 in Beatrice to Alexander and Wilhemina (Grabowski) Brott.  Eldon was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice. He drove a fuel truck for Farmer’s Union, Sanford Oil and Barnard Oil all of Beatrice.  Eldon was a handyman doing many projects around his home.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Beatrice, children, Stephanie Arbuckle of Weir, KS, Matthew Brott and wife Carolyn of Beatrice, Christopher Brott and wife Sabrina of Helena, MT and Amy Brott of Beatrice; step-children, Mike Lofing and wife Cheryl of Fairbury, NE, Linda Lofing and husband Don Clifton of Lincoln, NE, Mark Lofing and wife Mary of Shavertown, PA, and Denise White and husband Merv of Belvidere, NE; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mildred Brott of Iowa, and Barbara Ellis of Denver, CO; brothers-in-law, Art Smith of Fairbury, and Clarence Ellis of Wyoming; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Barbara (Wiegand) Brott; son, Charles Brott; brothers and sisters, Delma Zimmerman, Norman Brott, Elnora Smith, and Leona Brott.

Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Pastor Timothy Wagner officiating.  Burial will be held prior to the service at Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, NE.  Memorials are established to the St. Paul Lutheran Church with Duane Delozier in charge. www.harmanwrightmortuary.com Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory of Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
