Douglas Belding Obituary

Douglas E. Belding, 66, Pawnee City, NE formerly of Beatrice, NE died Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Premier Care Center of Pawnee City.  He was born September 9, 1951 in Steele City, NE. Douglas enjoyed fishing, hunting, target practice, lifting weights, watching old TV Westerns and spooky movies, playing cards, singing and listening to music. In the early years he worked construction in Lincoln and Beatrice and ran an antique shop. He graduated from Beatrice High School in 1969.

Survivors include his son, Darrin and wife Karen of Tecumseh, NE; daughter, Kim Colson and husband Dale of Beatrice; daughter, Cherie; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters Deb Baldridge and husband Art of Oklahoma and Cindy Arnold and fiancée John McCovy of Lincoln; brothers, Bruce Belding of Pawnee City, Kevin Belding and wife Dianna of Jansen, NE, and Myron “mick” Belding and wife Joyce of Beatrice; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Gwen (Fanders) Belding; brothers, Dean Belding and Colin Belding.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at Prairie Home Cemetery, Diller, NE with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. Visitation will be at the graveside from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
