Delma Rose (Esteraich) Freeouf

Delma Rose (Esteraich) Freeouf, 87 years of age, of Wilber, formerly of Dorchester, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Wilber Care Center in Wilber. She was born on March 2, 1927 on a farm near Western to Charles and Rose (Divoky) Esteraich. Delma graduated from Wilber High School and taught country school for a brief time before she met Rudolph Freeouf at a dance in Saline Center and married him on June 8, 1948. They farmed SW of Dorchester and she also worked at Formit in Crete.  Delma was an active member in the Dorchester United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post # 264 and WFLA Tabor Lodge # 74. She was a very kind soul with a ready smile and a positive attitude. She loved dancing with her husband, baking, reading Danielle Steele novels, sewing, playing cards and visiting with her friends and neighbors.  She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Delma is survived by 3 daughters, Kathryn Knapp, Sherry Meyers, and Susan Becia, all of the Denver, Colorado area; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Rudolph on February 16, 2014; parents; 2 brothers, Norman and Bryon; and a sister Olga Vokoun. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Wilber Care Center in Wilber with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Dorchester United Methodist Church. Condolences may be left online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com.
