Della May (Little) Bartels

Della May (Little) Bartels, 87 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 9, 1930 in Crab Orchard to Val and May (Hammond) Little. Della attended Crab Orchard High School. Della worked several places including the Busy Bee Café and Campbell Soup Company.

Della is survived by a daughter, Judy Cihal of Beatrice; 2 sons, James Thomas Bartels and wife Janet of Creighton, Lorin Bartels and wife Bonnie of Beatrice; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren;  5 sisters-in-law, Marceline Little of Beatrice, Alberta Little of Crab Orchard, Betty Little of Topeka, Kansas, Roberta Pageler of Missouri, Rose Little of Adams; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sheila Bartels; 6 brothers, Darwin, Bill, Joe, Arlie “Mike”, Val D., Don; and a sister, Dorothy Haney.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 23, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Pastor LuRae Hallstrom officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 8 PM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary.Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
