David James Winslow, 57 years of age, of Diller, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home. David was born on April 14, 1957 in England to Harold and Joan (Tart) Winslow. David served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked over 20 years at Land O’Lakes. David enjoyed spending time with his son deer hunting in the fall and fishing the Big Blue River in Blue Springs, Harlan County Reservoir, and Branched Oak Lake. He treated everyone he knew like family.
David is survived by his son, Jeremy of Diller; mother, Joan Winslow of Beatrice; 2 sisters, Stephanie Aponte of Puerto Rico, Sandra Barber and husband Terry of Louisville, Colorado; 2 brothers, Jon Winslow and fiancée Maria Marquez of Lincoln, Scott Winslow and wife Michelle of Brighton, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Rev. David Bigley officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Falls City Cemetery in Falls City. A register book will be available from 9 AM to 5 PM with family greeting friends from 3 to 5 PM Friday, February 6, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. A memorial is established to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
