David Blane Barber

David Blane Barber, 51 years of age, of Beatrice, went to his heavenly father unexpectedly in his sleep at home Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He was born on October 17, 1963 at the Lutheran Hospital in Beatrice to Dennis and Diane (Sanders) Barber. David graduated from Wymore High School in 1983. He was a painter his entire life working in several places including Texas, Maryland, Omaha, Lincoln and Beatrice. David was an avid studier of the Bible and was a believer in Jesus Christ. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, canoeing, sports, kayaking, camping, mushroom hunting, cooking and especially the time spent with his nieces and nephews.

David is survived by his parents, Dennis and Diane Barber of Holmesville; 3 siblings, Shannon Petersen and husband Douglas, Jason Barber and wife Angela, Bly Rash and husband Dennis, all of Beatrice; and several nieces and nephews, Lucas, Lacey and Leshah Stamler, Chase and Ashton Barber, and Indi, Ireland, Annabelle and Raleigh Rash. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Dorothy Sanders; paternal grandfather, Glen L. Barber; and paternal grandmother, Anna Hohbein.

Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM Monday, April 27, 2015 at Christ Community Church in Beatrice with Pastor Jack Magness officiating. Harman-Wright Mortuary and Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
