Dale D. Wiler

Dale D. Wiler, 87 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. He was born on December 12, 1929 at Oketo, Kansas to Gottfried and Nora (Holle) Wiler. Dale attended school in Oketo, Kansas. He married Edith Lucille (Thomas) Beck on September, 5, 2013 in Beatrice. Dale farmed around Barneston all his life and enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle, bingo and farming.

Dale is survived by his wife, Lucille; step-children, Michael Boston and wife Donna of Lincoln, Patricia Beckmann and husband Jerry of Elmwood, Bernice “Susie” Sup and husband Gale of Malcolm, John Knoop, Beverly Sims and husband Ted, both of Beatrice; many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; sisters, Lavada Smith of Seneca, Kansas, Betty Barry of Lehighton, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Lorraine; 2nd wife, Irene; step-daughter, Donna Lomotte; and brother, Eugene Wiler.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 11, 2017 at the United Presbyterian Church in Wymore with Pastor Jim McNeal officiating. Interment will follow in the Barneston Cemetery north of Barneston. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
