Carlene Y. (Rosecrans) Drewes

Carlene Y. Drewes, 76, Beatrice, formerly of Odell and Plymouth passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center.  She was born May 6, 1939 in the Rice Hospital in Odell, Nebraska to Carl and Nellie (Rathbun) Rosecrans.  Carlene attended Odell Public School and graduated in 1957.  Carlene taught school in Barneston and Diller for nine years.  On June 2, 1968 Carlene and Richard Drewes were united in marriage at the Odell Christian Church.  She had an in home day daycare for 12 years and then worked for day care centers for another 6 years.  She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Plymouth, NE.  She was a member of NEACY day care organization and taught Sunday school and Bible School. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Gary and brother-in-law Elwood Lloyd.

Carlene is survived by her husband; son, Douglas and wife Michelle of Lincoln, NE; daughters, Diane Prochaska and husband Stephen of Johnstown, CO, Darcy Revis and husband Randy of Beatrice, NE; 8 grandchildren; brother, Duane Rosecrans and wife Ruth of Crete, NE, sister, Peggy Lloyd of Wymore, NE; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church, Rural Plymouth, NE.  Family Prayer service 10:45 a.m. in the church basement.  Visitation will be held at Harman-Wright Mortuary Wednesday 9 am- 8pm with the family greeting friends from 5pm- 7pm and one hour preceding services at the church on Thursday.  Burial will be in the Odell American Cemetery.  Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
