Beverly Ann (Alm) Jacobson

Beverly Ann Jacobson, 71 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home. She was born on December 24, 1943 in Pawnee City to Leland and Rose (Zvolanek) Alm. Beverly attended Glendale Elementary School, Filley Consolidated High School, and the National Business Institute in Lincoln. She had been employed at the Lancaster County Assessor’s Office and the Nebraska Department of Revenue, both in Lincoln. Beverly moved to Beatrice from Lincoln in 1979 and began working at the Beatrice State Developmental Center where she was employed until her retirement in 2010. Beverly and Charles Jacobson were married on February 19, 1971 in Seward and to this union was born one daughter, Tracy Lee in June of 1969. Beverly enjoyed being with family, going for walks, being outdoors, dancing, western and Czech music, and particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Tracy Izer; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Johnson and husband Travis, Angel Izer and fiancé Austin Cookus, both of Wymore; 5 great grandchildren, Tyler, Sarah, Destiney, Dominick, Kaiden; and 2 brothers, Don Alm and wife Nancy of Filley and Gary Alm and wife Linda of Crab Orchard. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Larry Alm and wife Terry.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, February 9, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Rev. David Bigley officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Filley Cemetery at Filley. A register book will be available to sign from 9 AM to 5 PM Friday, February 6, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
