Ardyth “Ardy” E. (Otto) Smoyer, 69 years of age, of Pickrell, formerly of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Beatrice Community Hospital & Health Center in Beatrice. She was born on October 19, 1945 in Plymouth to Clarence and Elsie (Overbeck) Otto. Ardy graduated from Plymouth High School in 1965. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Lincoln School of Commerce. Ardy was a lifelong caregiver who loved caring for people, working as a CNA in several different nursing homes. She married Marty Smoyer on May 27, 2011 in Bullhead City, Arizona. Ardy was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, her phone and computer, people and her dog, P.J.
Ardy is survived by her husband, Marty; best friend, Sharon Rohr of Pickrell; niece, Cindy Arnold of Denver, Colorado; nephew, Dean Belding; brother-in-law, Steve Smoyer and wife Lori of Salt Lake City, Utah; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 1st husband, Roger Fanders.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Pastor Judy Dye officiating. There will be no visitation but a register book will be available to sign from 9 AM to 5 PM Friday, July 17, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
