Archer Davis Higgins, of Lincoln, NE was born March 30, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He died March 31, 2018 at his home in rural Lincoln. Though he only lived for a short time, he overcame many challenges and deeply touched the lives of those who met him. He ate, snuggled and cooed in the arms of family and friends. His memory will live on in those who experienced his sweet life during the time God blessed him with.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Callie Higgins of Lincoln; brothers, Mathias and Jediah of Lincoln; grandparents, Kris Higgins of Pickrell, NE, Dawn and Steve Jurgens of Filley, NE; great-grandparents, Eleanor Higgins of Albuquerque, NM, Don and Eula Mae Goodfellow of Lyons, KS, Ardyce Philippi of Beatrice, Duane Busboom of Beatrice, Leanna Jurgens of Omaha, NE; aunts and uncles, Dr. Kate and Dr. Jason Sibson of Sioux Falls, SD, Laura and Tad Lazechko of Colorado Springs, CO, Mike and Tara Higgins of Yutan, NE, Kim Higgins of Kearney, NE, Taylor Jurgens of Omaha, Silas Jurgens of Filley, Caryss Jurgens of Filley, and True Jurgens of Filley; and many great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandfathers, Dr. Kirk Higgins, and Troy Busboom; great-grandparents, Al Higgins, Marvin Philippi, Harold Jurgens, Veloura Busboom, and Barb Busboom; and uncle, Isaiah Jurgens..
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel in Beatrice with Pastor Matt Clough officiating. A private family burial will follow the service at Pleasantview Cemetery, rural Pickrell. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to choose a living plant to be planted by Jim and Callie in a memorial garden for Archer. They have had Campbell’s Nursery design the garden, if you order from Campbell’s (402-423-4556 ask for Duane), they will keep the plant in their greenhouse until the garden is planted later this spring. The family asks everyone to wear Easter or spring colors for the funeral instead of the traditional dark colors. Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
