Ann H. (Williams) Hill

Ann H. Hill, 94, Beatrice, NE, formerly of Filley, NE died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center.  She was born February 8, 1923 at rural Cortland, NE to Ed and Minnie (Eckhoff) Williams. She married Donald Hill on July 29, 1951 at Filley. She worked for 18 years as a school custodian, cleaned homes and the Filley Bank. Ann and Don owned and operated the Filley tavern for 23 years. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Filley where she was a past Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

Survivors include her sons, Wayne Hill and wife Karla of Filley, Bryan Hill and wife Jackie of Filley; grandchildren, Jeremy Hill and fiancée Steph Johnson, Amanda Dornhoff and husband Cole, Lacey Hill and fiancée Dallas Shufeldt, Tiffany Robertson and husband Aaron, Anthony Hill and Lauren Campbell, Jacob Larmeu and fiancée Chelsea Sasse and Courtney Hill; great-grandchildren, Taven, Aubrie, Madyson, Lily, Jaxon, Rylan, Kanon and Wyatt; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald (1998); parents; son Gary (1992); brothers, Willie, Herman and Edwin Williams; sisters, Grace Lenners and Katie Harms.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017 at the American Lutheran Church, Filley, with Pastor LuRae Hallstrom, officiating.  Family prayer service will be held 10:15 a.m. in the church basement. Burial in the Filley Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the Harman-Wright Mortuary.  Memorials established to Filley Cemetery and the American Lutheran Church in Filley with Ross and Lodene Kaufman and Don and Glenda VanEperen in charge.
